Glass Modeling

This vase was an university assignment to create a photo realistic rendering of a freely chosen object.

Created individually in Autodesk Maya

I choose to base the assignment of a blue vase I owned, and used reference images to model the vase. The vase was UV mapped and some light specs of dirt were created in Photoshop and added to the object. Mainly I worked with the material to make the glass look as realistic as possible.

The rubrics cube behind the vase was added to showcase how it was distorted by the glass material.

Further explorations using the glass material was made independently after the creation of the vase to expand on the material knowledge and develop modeling skills.

A candle stick and simpler vase were modeled, based on object I had at home. Both are given a glass material, without UV mapping.
